Appolonians, Dionysians and the Building Industry
A thought provoking and humorous TED talk by avant-garde designer/builder Dan Phillips in which he discusses human nature, commoditization, and the building industry. And, for those who like philosophy, he even throws in a few references to Nietzche, Plato, and Sartre.
It’s somewhat long at nearly 18 minutes, so you may not want to watch it at work. And if you do, be forewarned, you may not be able to hit the pause button. He’s that interesting.
