Seeing Pink
It’s not often that you see guys in pink hard hats. So I had to take a picture when I saw these guys on my drive into work this morning:
They’re with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (“SMUD”) but you can’t see the SMUD logo on their hard hats because they were a little wary about a random lawyer approaching them off the street asking questions and asking to take their picture. Not to worry. I’m not with OSHA.
The pink hard hats are, as you might have guessed, in support of breast cancer awareness. About 200 SMUD lineworkers and field personnel donned the pink hard hats this month (as well as pink bracelets and shoelaces) as part of their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Well done SMUD!
